Local Living on ABC Columbia brought to you by MUSC Health

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the City of Columbia is partnering with Sistercare for a toiletry drive.

Sistercare helps victims of domestic violence.

They are looking for donations like facial wipes, deodorant, and liquid hand soap.

You can drop off the items at several locations across the city now through October 5.

The free concert series “Five After Five” returns to Five Points this Saturday.

The series will have four themed evenings from now to October of live music by local and regional musicians, including jazz and soul artists, as well as beach bands and rock and roll.

Food and beverage trucks will be available at each of the four concerts from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The American Pickleball Tour is returning to Columbia this weekend.

The tournament caters to all skill levels and a portion of the proceeds go to a local nonprofit organization.

It takes place Friday through Sunday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

The Richland Library Friends and Foundation is hosting their Summer book sale later this month.

You can browse a selection of 30 thousand gently-used items including books, CDs, and DVDs.

Prices for paperbacks start at $1, and prices for hardbacks start at $2.

The public book sale starts at 10 a.m. on July 27th at the Richland Library Operations Center.
