CAE: Flights no longer grounded at airport after global IT outage

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Metropolitan Airport said as of 10 a.m., the ground stop has been lifted and flight operations have resumed at the airport.

The airport also said to note that there have been some delays and cancelations so to check your airline’s mobile app for the most up-to-date information regarding your flight status.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Columbia Metropolitan Airport and its airline partners – United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines – say they are closely monitoring the current global IT outage impacting air travel.

Officials say as of right now, passengers flying out of CAE this morning are able to check in, however flights are grounded until further notice.

Passengers are encouraged to stay updated on possible delays through their airline’s mobile app.
