1 dead, 2 injured after collision in Orangeburg County

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead after a collision on Branch Dale Highway in Orangeburg County.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, near Rock Hill Road.

According to the SC Highway Patrol (SCHP), the driver of a 2006 Toyota Avalon was heading eastbound on Branch Dale Highway when it traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

State troopers said three people were inside the car when the collision happened.

The driver of the car died at the scene and the passengers were all injured and taken to a nearby hospital by EMS.

The collision is under investigation by the SCHP.
