SCDOT to close part of New Hope Road in Newberry County for drainage work
NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Transportation announces that New Hope Road between Hughey Ferry Road (S-36-98) and Griffin Road (S-36-351) in Newberry County will be closed starting on Tuesday, July 30.
The road will be closed as crews work to repair and replace cross-line drainage. The work is expected to last through Thursday, August 1.
New Hope Road will be open to local traffic only during this closure, said SCDOT.
Drivers are asked to slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving near the work zone.
