COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, it’s time to gear up for back-to-school.

The United Way of the Midlands is hosting its 3rd annual “Ready Set Supply” school drive.

It aims to stock the classrooms of local elementary school teachers.

Anyone can donate items like pencils, glue, and notebooks at the United Way building on Blanding Street, Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The deadline to deliver supplies is Thursday, August 1.

You may still be planning that Summer vacation but it’s almost time to start planning for back-to-school.

Experts say now is the time to prepare and that includes vaccines.

ABC’s Mandy Gaither has more on the topic.
