Tesla issues software fix for 1.8 million vehicles

(CNN)– The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recalled notice for nearly two million Teslas because of a hood issue.

According to the notice, there’s a risk the car’s software could fail to detect an unlatched hood that could cause the hood to suddenly fly open and obstruct the driver’s view.

Tesla has released a software update to fix the issue. No injuries have been reported.
