1 dead, 1 facing charges after Tuesday night collision

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead and another is facing a charge after an accident on Tuesday night, July 30.
Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say at 10:30 p.m. last night, Jalen Woodard was driving a Hyundai Sedan on Lower Richland Boulevard near Air Base Road when he ran into a John Deere Tractor that was removing a free from the road.
Troopers say the passenger in Woodard’s car was killed and Woodard ran away from the scene.
He was caught and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.
