Boar’s head recall expanded to 7 million pounds of meat

(CNN)– A major recall has expended to include several meat products linked with a deadly listeria outbreak.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has included seven million additional pounds of recalled Boar’s Head meat products.

Last week, the company recalled 200 thousand pounds of ready-to-eat liverwurst and deli meat products.

The listeria outbreak was linked with sliced meat from grocery store deli counters.

The expended recall also includes other deli meats like ham, bologna, bacon, and sausage products.

The USDA said the meats were packaged with sell by dates from July 29, through October 17.

As of Tuesday, 34 illnesses had been reported in 13 states including two deaths.
