(CNN)– You may soon be talking to Ai instead of a live person in Taco Bell drive-thrus.

The fast food chain is expanding the use of artificial intelligence voice technology in its drive-thrus to hundreds of U.S. locations by the end of the year.

The technology is already currently being used in more than a hundred locations in 13 states. Taco Bell has more than 74 hundred locations.

The company says voice Ai will not replace any workers, it just allows them to focus on other priorities.
