Crews clean-up Orangeburg after microburst causes damage
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– Tuesday night’s storms caused some damage in portions of Orangeburg.
Officials with the National Weather Service confirmed a micro burst was detected near Broughton Street.
Officials say a microburst is a sudden down-draft of air during a thunderstorm that can produce winds up to 150 miles per hour.
As a result the road was closed on Wednesday, July 31, as crews cleaned up the mess.
No injuries were reported.
