City’s Overflow Shelter to open due to inclement weather
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Columbia is opening up its Overflow Shelter for the unsheltered populations at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, said city officials.
The shelter will be opening up due to the inclement weather and the possible impacts in the state due to Tropical Storm Debby.
Transportation with The COMET will begin at 3 p.m. at the corner of Sumter Street and Laurel Street.
City leadership will continue to monitor the weather and impacts of Tropical Storm Debby, according to the city.
