Columbia PD: Pedestrian killed while crossing roadway

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia PD responded to reports of a person that had been hit by a vehicle on Monday night.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, in the 7300 block of Garners ferry Road.

Officers determined that the female pedestrian was trying to cross the roadway when she was hit by at least two vehicles.

CPD is working with the coroner’s office to determine her identity, said Deputy Chief of Police Melron J. Kelly.
