Housing market exceeds $1 trillion in 8 U.S. cities

HOUSING MARKET EXCEEDS $1 TRIL IN 8 U-S CITIES

 

(CNN)– The number of U.S. cities with housing markets valued at over one trillion dollars doubled from just four last year to eight in 2024.

That’s according to a report released Thursday from Redfin.

Chicago, Phoenix, Washington, and Anaheim, California, now join New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Boston as cities where total home values top one trillion dollars.

The report also showed that the value of homes across the country jumped $3.1 trillion to a record 49.6 trillion in the last year.
