USC and Lexington Medical Center open facility to train nurses
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– According to the U.S. Department of Health, 41 of South Carolina’s 46 counties have a health professional shortage.
A new public-private partnership in the Midlands between USC and Lexington Medical Center hopes to change that.
USC says the partnership expands the College of Nursing’s training capabilities and creates opportunities for reducing nursing workforce shortages.
“Our new satellite campus and its cutting-edge technology will elevate what our students can experience,” College of Nursing Dean Jeannette Andrews says.
The new facility is located at 150 Sunset Court.
