Coroner identifies individual who died after a vehicle vs. golf cart collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington County Coroner has identified the individual who died after a vehicle vs. golf cart collision on Wednesday.

The coroner’s office says the collision happened on Wednesday morning, Aug. 14, around 10:40 a.m. in the 600 block of Huckabee Mill Road in the Swansea area.

Coroner Margaret Fisher says 51-year-old Christopher Dean Hoffman of Swansea was operating a golf cart, traveling southbound on Huckabee Mill Road when he was hit by a vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained during the collision.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
