SCHP continues to investigate deadly golf cart accident

Lexington County, SC (WOLO) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues investigating a deadly accident that occurred Wednesday around 10 am about 1 mile north of Swansea.

According to SCHP, a person driving a golf cart and a second vehicle, a 2014 Ford Expedition were both driving southbound along Huckabee Mill Road. Officials tell us when the two reached the intersection near Tickle Weed Road authorities say the driver of the truck struck the golf cart.

Master Trooper Gary Miller says the driver of the golf cart was killed in the collision. The driver and passenger inside of the Expedition were not injured, and did not need to be treated on scene or transported for medical treatment.

No charges in the crash have been released as officials say their investigation is ongoing.
