TikTok fires back at DOJ

(CNN)– TikTok is fighting back again as its future still remains uncertain in the United States.

The social media platform is denying storing sensitive American user data in China.

That’s something the U.S. Justice Department has accused the Chinese-based company of doing.

In a court filing on Thursday, August 16, TikTok urged the federal appeals court to block a law that could result a nationwide ban of the app.

The company in its filing said that the U.S. government has no evidence that China ever accessed American user data.
