CPD: Officers investigating after man killed on King Street

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police Department says a man was shot and killed on Saturday, Aug. 17.

It happened around midnight in the 1200 block of King Street. Officers have detained a person for questioning.

Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford says the person was identified as Eugene Bell Jr., 32, of Columbia.

The incident remains under investigation.
