Judge blocks launch of sports streaming venture from Disney, Fox and WB Discovery

(CNN)– The launch of “Venu Sports” was temporarily halted by a federal judge on Friday.

This decision came after streaming service “Fubo” requested a preliminary injunction on the matter.

Fubo claims ‘Venu Sports’ will edge out competitors by cornering the market through its media rights.

Venu is a venture from Warner Brothers Discovery, Disney, and Fox Corporation.

These companies released a joint statement saying they will appeal the ruling.
