Local Living on ABC Columbia brought to you by MUSC Health
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the Soda City Comic Con is coming back this weekend.
It’s Saturday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Lincoln Street.
There will be games, hundreds of artists, vendors, and more.
Special guests include Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime in the transformer franchise.
The Koger Center for the Arts is celebrating its 35th birthday on Thursday, Aug. 22.
There will be a free birthday party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy cake, drinks, music, and a behind the scenes look of the building.
The event is a celebration for everyone who helped the Koger Center become a staple in the South Carolina Arts landscape.
You can still donate to the City of Columbia and Sistercare’s toiletry drive to help victims of domestic violence.
They’re looking for donations like facial wipes, and liquid hand soap.
You can donate through the first of October.
