SCHP: 1 dead after Lexington County collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person has died after a collision in Lexington County on Tuesday, Aug. 20.

Troopers say it happened at Augusta Highway near Olde Farm Road around 2:30 p.m.

According to investigators, the driver of a GMC Acadia was attempting to turn left when a Kia Forte hit them.

The passenger in the Forte died at the hospital while the driver was injured.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the victim as Lelar Mae Dunn, 69, of Batesburg.

None of the people in the GMC Acadia were hurt.

The incident is under investigation.
