Demand for housing rises
(CNN)– Housing demand in the U.S. improved in July after declining for months, this, as Americans continue to face rising home prices.
The National Association of Realtors says sales of previously owned homes in the U.S. grew 1.3% in July from the month before.
That pushed the seasonally adjusted annual rate of nearly 4 million home sales.
July’s figures broke a four month streak of declining sales.
But year over year, sales were down 2-and-a-half percent in July from 2023.
