SLED needs help identifying suspected shooter

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is asking members of the public to help them identify a man suspected in a shooting from Tuesday August 6, 2024.

According to SLED, Denmark Police Chief Leroy Grimes requested help as they investigate a shooting they say took place at the Denmark Grocery Store located at 59 Magnolia Avenue. According to authorities, the masked suspect came into the store, and shot the store owner. Officials say nothing was taken from the store during the incident and no other injuries were reported. The store owner was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries.
