Ford scales back DEI initiatives

(CNN)– Ford Motor company is the latest American company to scale back on its diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

The automobile manufacturer told employees in a memo on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Ford said it will no longer participate in an annual survey for an LGBTQ advocacy group.

It will also not use quotas for minority dealerships and suppliers.

According to an internal email shared with employees, Ford’s CEO said the “external and legal environment related to political and social issues continues to evolve”.
