Area private school receives ‘Purple Star’ designation

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Friday Saint Joseph Catholic School had the honor of receiving a Purple Star School Designation.

The program honors schools that demonstrate a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military.
Friday the school held a ceremony to not only mark the milestone, but also set a precedent for other private schools in the state.

Saint Joseph is the first private school in South Carolina to receive the Purple Star school designation.
