Judge to rule on man connected to 2022 Columbiana Mall shooting
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The fate of a man who is accused in a shootout at Columbiana Centre Mall in 2022 is now in the hands of a judge.
A Lexington County judge is weighing whether Jewayne Price’s claim that he was defending himself should make him immune from the prosecution.
Price is one of three facing attempted murder and aggravated assault charges in connection with the shooting.
After two days of testimony this week, Judge Walton McLeod took the immunity claim under consideration and has given attorneys 15 days ti submit briefs on the matter.
