Target’s popular car seat trade-in program starts soon
(CNN)– Target is bringing back its popular car seat trade-in program that aims to reduce waste in landfills.
Starting September 15, you can drop off your old car seats at target stores.
In return, you’ll get a 20% discount for a new car seat, stroller, or select baby gear.
Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats regardless of their condition, including car seat bases and booster car seats.
The materials from the old car seats are recycled to create pallets, plastic buckets, steel beams, and carpet padding.
