Remains of suspected homicide victim identified after 31 years
(CNN) — Human remains found in an Indianapolis, Indiana suburb 30 years ago have finally been identified.
The Johnson County Coroner’s Office says the identification came after years of work alongside other agencies.
They were able to ID Michael Benjamin Davis through DNA testing and genealogy tracking.
Davis was from Richland County and he would’ve been in his twenties when he died.
His family members said they never stopped praying for answers.
Davis’ cause of death is officially rules as undetermined.
However, authorities have said the case has been thought to be a homicide.
