(WCIV) — Dubbed the No Amnesty for Hamas Sympathizers Act, Nancy Mace’s latest bill aims to disallow individuals who have lived in Palestinian-administered territories or hold passports or other travel documents issued by the Palestinian Authority to enter the United States, according to a press release sent Tuesday.
The bill would prohibit individuals seeking Temporary Protected Status, parole, asylum, and refugee status. It would also provide these individuals as deportable under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
“We’re taking a practical approach to protecting American citizens,” said Mace in the release.
Mace’s office cites background data from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a non-profit think-tank, claiming a majority of Palestinians supported the Oct. 7 attacks against Israel.
