STATE OF THE UNIVERSITY: USC president highlights accomplishments in annual address
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — For 224 years, South Carolina’s largest university has been educating the state’s college students.
Wednesday morning. USC’s president Dr. Michael Amiridis gave his annual State of the University address on campus.
One of the major complaints voiced by students at the University of South Carolina is the lack of parking options.
In addition to parking relief, USC hopes to help its students when it comes to academic advising as well as career readiness through an internship program.
During his annual State of the University address, the school’s president also recognized the achievements of the Gamecocks women’s basketball team and other athletic programs.
For this semester, USC celebrates a record-high enrollment of more than 38,000 students. In addition to record-enrollment, USC also enjoyed record breaking investment in research, using more than 300 million dollars.
