$1 billion Mega Millions jackpot still unclaimed

(CNN)– No one claimed the most recent Mega Millions jackpot yet.

That winning ticket was sold in Texas but there’s a much more outstanding windfall out there.

Someone in New Jersey bought a ticket worth $1.1 billion back in March.

But it still has not been claimed.

Winners in the Garden State have up to a year to claim their prizes.

If the jackpot is not claimed in time, every state that participates in the lottery will get back the amount they contributed.
