McDonald’s extends $5 meal as value deals trend

(CNN)– Customers are loving McDonald’s five-dollar-meal deal so much the fast food giant is keeping it on the menu until December.

The five-dollar-meal deal launched in June as a one-month gimmick.

But it quickly turned into a much longer promotion.

The meal features either a McChicken sandwich or a McDouble cheeseburger, small fries, four-piece chicken McNuggets and a small drink.

McDonald’s has seen a dent in sales as inflation-weary customers hold tighter to their money.
