SC Governor signs Seizure Safe Bill
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina schools are safer for people with epilepsy, diabetes, and other seizure inducing disorders.
On Thursday afternoon, Sept. 12, Governor Henry McMaster signed the Seizure Safe Schools Act into law.
The measure requires each school district and charter school to provide seizure response training for faculty and staff.
Officials say the training means if anyone has a seizure at school, life-saving treatment can be applied sooner.
