Open A.I. unveils model that can reason “like a person”
(CNN) — Open A.I. has unveiled a new A.I. model it says can “reason” and solve harder problems in science, coding, and math better than its predecessors.
The chat-g-p-t maker says it can reason and think “much like a person.”
the model is the first in a series called open A.I o1.
It was released yesterday as a preview, with the firm saying it expects regular updates and improvements, and it will gradually become available to most Chat-GPT users.
The company says in tests, o1 performs similarly to PhD students on difficult benchmark tasks in physics, chemistry, and biology.
