Inmate fatally stabbed at Lee Correctional Institution

LEE COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Corrections says a Lee County Correctional inmate was found stabbed to death.

Investigators say 23-year-old Idris Gallardo was stabbed in a common area of his assigned housing unit on Tuesday, Sept. 18.

His death is being investigated as a suspected homicide.
