Orangeburg firefighters respond to structure fire on Holly Street Thursday night

 

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg firefighters responded to a structure fire on Holly Street Thursday night, said officials.

Orangeburg Department of Public Safety Charlie shift along with help from the Cordova Fire Department encountered a single-story home with heavy fire, arcing overhead electrical wires, and a collapsed roof at the scene.

The firefighters worked to stop the spread of fire to adjacent exposures and brought the fire under control in about an hour, said the ODPS.

There were no reported occupants or injuries. The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
