Man arrested after leading several law enforcement agencies on weekend chase

GASTON, S.C. (WOLO)– A man is now behind bars after starting a chase with several law enforcement agencies on over the weekend.

Gaston Police say they tried to stop Dylan Echevarria near Main Street (US321) and Mack Street several traffic violations but he continued the chase onto I-26 west.

According to investigators, Springdale Police Department, Richland County deputies, Kershaw County deputies, and Cayce Police also helped during the police chase.

Echevarria was stopped when Kershaw County deputies deployed tire deflation devices which successfully stopped his vehicle.

He was taken to the Lexington County Detention Center after making bond at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center for his Richland County charges.

Additionally, he faces driving under suspension 1st, fail to stop for blue light, reckless driving, use of tag on another vehicle, and disregarding a traffic control device charges from the Gaston PD.
