SC governor signs executive order “Water SC”

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina is taking steps to protect one of its most important resources, which is water.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, Governor McMaster announced his executive order creating “Water SC”.

Officials say the group will work to develop a statewide water plan that takes into consideration the state’s economic and environmental interests.

Officials say the time to make these changes is now with the states continued growth.

Organizers say the completed plan should be done by December of next year.
