Deputies asking for public’s help finding missing, endangered Orangeburg senior

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County deputies are asking for the public’s help finding a missing and endangered Orangeburg senior, said the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said Orangeburg County Sheriff’s investigators were notified Wednesday morning just after 9 a.m. that 79-year-old Mary Ham was missing from her Hickory Drive home.

“We’re asking that if anyone has seen or heard of this lady’s location to please call us. We want to find her as soon as possible to get her back home safely,” the sheriff said.

She is described as a black female standing about 5 feet tall and weighing around 128 pounds.

Also, investigators said she was wearing a white and blue smock dress and with her hair in two ponytails.

Ham’s vehicle is described as a white 2012 Chevrolet Equinox bearing SC license plate 4265LZ.

OCSO said a license plate reader picked up Ham’s vehicle between Charleston and Beaufort.

Anyone with information on Ham’s whereabouts is urged to call the Orangeburg County Communications Center at 803-5343-3550.
