Camden Military Academy employee terminated after alleged social media message with cadet
CAMDEN, S.C. (WOLO)– A Camden Military Academy employee has been fired after the school was made aware of alleged inappropriate social media communication between a cadet, said school officials.
Officials said administration was made aware of the communication on Monday, Sept 16.
Additionally, the school’s resource officer and the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office have been notified, while the faculty member was terminated.
In a statement CMA administration said, “CMA is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all of our cadets. Our cadets’ emotional, mental, and physical welfare, and safety have been and will always remain our top priority”.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing at the moment.
