Elgin Police: Shooting that left 1 person injured deemed as self-defense

 

 

ELGIN, S.C. (WOLO)– Elgin Police responded to a shooting that left one person injured on Tuesday, Oct .1.

Officers say they responded to the shooting around 2 a.m. at a Circle K.

According to officers, a store clerk shot an individual during an active assault.

Elgin Police Department officers say the individual sustained a minor injury.

After investigating, the incident was determined to be self defense.
