City of Columbia’s Office of Violent Crime prevention to host Youth Talk-A-Thon

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Columbia’s Office of Violent Crime prevention is hosting a Youth Talk-A-Thon on Saturday.

Officials say the event is in celebration of Youth Justice Action Month, and the purpose of the event is to raise awareness.

Also, the Saturday, Oct. 19 event is to educate the public about the impact of the justice system on children.

There will be breakout sessions, a roundtable, and a community resource fair.

It is free to the public and begins at 10 a.m., lasting until 1 p.m. To register for the event, click here.
