SCSO: Teen surrenders to deputies in connection with murder of Byas Road victim

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says the manhunt for 19-year-old Jordan Malik Coleman-Jacobs is now over as the teen surrendered himself to deputies on Monday morning.

Coleman-Jacobs is a suspect in the murder of D’ante J. Archie, who was shot to death on Byas Road on October 14.

Investigators say his Monday, Oct. 21, arrest came three days after Sheriff Anthony Dennis issued a wanted bulletin naming him as a suspect in Archie’s death.

One week earlier on Oct. 14, deputies arrested Jaqual Jamaul Coleman who is also charged for Archie’s murder.

Sumter County deputies say both Coleman and Coleman-Jacobs are cousins.

After surrendering himself to deputies, Coleman-Jacobs was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and is being held while awaiting a bond hearing.

The case continues to be under investigation.

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A teen is wanted by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office in connection to a Byas Road murder, say deputies.

Deputies say 19-year-old Jordan Malik Coleman-Jacobs is wanted in connection with the murder of D’ante J. Archie.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 12, Sumter County deputies found a shooting victim on Byas Road who was later identified as D’ante J. Archie.

The sheriff’s office investigation led to the arrest of Jaqual Jamaul Coleman who was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Coleman-Jacobs has brown eyes and black hair, and is 6’ tall and weighs around 200 pounds.
