West Columbia man arrested on child sexual abuse material charges

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A West Columbia man has been arrested in connection with sexual exploitation of minors, says the AG’s Office.

Louis Alfonso Mouhteros, Jr. was arrested on two charges of sexual exploitation of minors.

The AG’s Office says Mouhteros, Jr., was arrested by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Mouhteros.

Officials say Mouhteros distributed files of child sexual abuse material.

Mouhteros was arrested on October 17, 2024.
