Collision involving a Richland One school bus under investigation

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Columbia Police are investigating a collision involving a Richland One school bus this morning.

Officers say it happened at the intersection of Garners Ferry Road and Veterans Road on Monday morning.

According to investigators, the driver of the car is being taken to the hospital for treatment, and the students were assessed by EMS.

Columbia PD says the driver was citied for disregarding a traffic control device.

Police say school officials were at scene while the investigation continues.
