Lexington County coroner identifies person who died after two-vehicle collision

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– The person who died after a two-vehicle collision was identified by the Lexington County coroner, says the coroner’s office.

The collision happened at the intersection of Martin Neese Road and Hwy 6 in the Swansea area around 4:58 p.m. on Sunday, October 27.

According to Coroner Margaret Fisher, Marion Phillip Glymph, 68, of Lexington was traveling northbound on Martin Neese Road when he was hit at the intersection by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Hwy 6.

Glymph, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he received during the collision.

Two people in the other vehicle were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the incident.
