Local Living: City of Columbia’s Halloween events, Boo at the Zoo, Cornhole tournament, Deceased Farm Haunted Attraction

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the City of Columbia is hosting several Halloween events on Thursday, October 31.

There will be a haunted forest carnival from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Hyatt/Leroy Moss Community Center on Jackson Avenue.

There will also be a trick-or-treat carnival at Hampton Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and a trunk-or-treat glow fest at Lorick Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. All events are free to attend.

 

Wednesday night, tonight, is the last night to enjoy Boo at the Zoo. It takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Riverbanks Zoo.

The event is full of fun activities including an Eeky Freaky DJ Dance Party, a mummy maze, and of course trick-or-treating throughout the zoo.

 

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is hosting a cornhole tournament this weekend.

Deputies are teaming up with the Gilbert Baggers Cornhole League to help raise money for the sheriff’s foundation and the American Cancer Society relay for life.

The event is this Saturday, Nov. 2, at 12 p.m. at Gilbert Community Park. It costs $20 to register.

 

Or if you want to take a trip through a scary farm, look no further.

The Deceased Farm Haunted Attraction is still going on through Nov. 2, at Olde Farm Road in Lexington.

It is a self-guided tour through 6 terrifying buildings, 3 intense outdoor areas and of course creepy corn fields. Tickets are $30.
