Private sector adds 233K jobs

(CNN)– Private sector hiring blew past expectations this month.

According to ADP’s latest national employment report released on Wednesday, October. 30, private sector employers added 233 thousand jobs in October.

That is a sharp rise from the 159 thousand jobs reported for September, job gains were expected to drop off in October, mainly due to an ongoing slowdown in the labor market.

But also because of fallout from the ongoing Boeing machinists’ strike and Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
