Chapin area schools under modified secure status, say school district

CHAPIN, S.C. (WOLO)– According to Lexington-Richland School District Five, based on information the district has received from law enforcement a couple of Chapin area schools are under a modified secure status.

The schools under modified secure status are Chapin Elementary School, Chapin Intermediate School and Chapin High School.

District 5 officials say they are continuing to monitor the situation and will update families and staff with any changes.
