Man pled guilty in connection with 2022 mall shooting

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Two men connected to a mall shooting in 2022 were in court this week.

According to the Columbia Police Department, on Friday morning, Nov. 1, Amari Smith pleaded guilty to attempted murder, 9 counts of assault, and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Dewayne Price was found guilty of the same charges on Thursday, Oct. 31. A third person will be in court next week.

Columbia Police say on April 16, 2022, 15 people were hurt after a dispute between the 3 men turned violent near the food court at Columbiana Centre.
